Kristin oversees the healthcare, facilities records and breeding programs at Upland Dogworks. She manages the daily care of all kennel and client dogs, assists Rob with the training and oversees the whelping and puppy rearing of our various gun dog breeds. Kristin has been caring for her personal bird dogs for 15 years, and she also helps her brother Tommy — a Brittany field trial trainer and handler — with his dogs, whelping litters and taking care of the puppies. An avid animal lover, she has an overwhelming commitment to ensuring all of our animals, dogs and horses, are properly cared for, sheltered, vaccinated, and properly exercised.
Kristin also grew up in the pointing dog world, working with her dad and brother from an early age with English Pointers and Setters as they competed nationally in American Field Horseback Trials. She was responsible for the care of the home kennels and Tennessee walking horses. She also whelped and raised numerous litters of puppies of all breeds. At the age of 14, she started raising and selling her own Labrador retriever pups. In 2001, Kristin started working full-time with Tommy, caring for, conditioning and starting gun dogs, as well as scouting for him at many field trials.
