Veteran trainer Rob Rohner oversees the Upland Dogworks training programs and field activities. Rob has the experience, confidence and passion to professionally develop the ultimate gun dog our clients desire.
Rob grew up around kennels, and has been training and breeding his own personal field trial and gun dogs for 20 years. Forty years ago, his parents, Rosemary and Bob, built the family’s first training and boarding facility. From the beginning Rob was active in the business, cleaning runs, working dogs with his dad, and helping out at field trials. In 1987, the family moved to Missouri and established a professional training, quality breeding and campaigning program for American Brittanys in AKC field trials. In 1993, Rob became a professional dog trainer. The kennel’s home grounds were in Missouri, with summers spent on the South Dakota prairies and winters in West Texas to provide year-round quality training.
Rob’s past training, breeding and handling accomplishments in AKC and American Field Trials include 2X National Open Gun Dog, National Open All-Age Champion, United States Open Champion, National Amateur Champion, and Purina Award Winner.
Rob’s experience in training and campaigning hundreds of dogs gives him the innate sense and knowledge to fully access a dog’s potential and develop a training plan and regimen to develop your dog into the field companion you’ve always wished you had.
